For best results, install your Stampede hybrid buffalo grass as soon as possible after delivery. Prepare your site with at least 100mm of quality turf underlay to ensure strong root development and long-term health. Once laid, roll the turf to improve soil contact and eliminate air pockets.

Stampede hybrid buffalo grass performs best when mown between 20–60mm, depending on the season and desired finish. During winter, it’s recommended to keep the lawn slightly longer to support colour retention and plant health. Always ensure mower blades are sharp to avoid tearing the leaf, and never remove more than one-third of the leaf blade at any one time to prevent stress. Removing clippings can help minimise thatch build-up, and dethatching in late spring may be beneficial if required.
Once established, stampede buffalo turf is drought-tolerant and only requires watering when visible signs of drying appear, such as wilted leaves. When irrigation is necessary, deeply soak the top 100mm of soil to encourage deep root growth.
