Being a fescue turf, you can mow RTF anywhere between 35-50mm and might be doing so fairly often in the warmer months. Winter slows the growing down and requires less time on the mower, if you do need to give your turf a trim in the cooler months be sure to cut it at the taller end of the recommended mowing length.

RTF Tall Fescue requires extra watering throughout the warmer months as it is a cool-season turf variety. However, when compared to other cool-season turf varieties it outperforms its competitors, making it a great option for the southern states of Australia that experience cold frosty winters and hot summers.

RTF Tall Fescue is able to handle the cool Victorian temperatures during the winter months and tolerates heavy frosts. Whilst RTF is still actively growing during the cold months, you won’t need to water as much in the winter whilst still enjoying a deep green lawn.
